David Johanns was born in Holland and raised in Canada.

Upon graduating from high school he went from rural Ontario to downtown Montreal where he completed a music degree at McGill University. As a musician he has performed in various venues as diverse as: cruise ships, lounges, churches, hotels, and jazz festivals.

“These experiences have taken me around the globe and allowed me to meet other great artists. While we all may speak different languages and live by different customs, what amazes me is how music transcends our differences,” David says.
